Bean and Ham Soup from Afton Teague

2 cups white beans, sorted and rinsed (do not need to presoak)
8 cups water
½ cup chopped onions or 3 T. dried onions
½ t. garlic powder
¼ t. pepper
1 or 2 celery stalks, chopped
1 or 2 carrots, peeled and sliced
½ t. salt
½ t. celery salt
1 cup ham, (canned, deli, or ham bone with meat)

Place all ingredients except salt and celery salt in crock pot. Cover and cook on High 6 or 7 hours. Add
salt and celery salt last 30 min.
