Chocolate Chip Cookies from Heather Powell

1 1/2 cups butter or margarine
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 eggs
4 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
4 cups chocolate chips

*Mix butter, sugars, vanilla & eggs. Stir in flour, baking soda & salt. Stir in chocolate chips. Bake @ 340 degrees for 12 minutes
or until light brown. Cool slightly.

**Originally, this recipe's instructions said to bake @ 350 degrees for 10 minutes, but i found 340 for 12 minutes did better
in my oven.
